The changing weather pattern may have an impact on the types of dwelling we construct in the Future, we have no control over the weather, and safe Housing will have to be a priority.

With Floods and Cyclones in Australia in this last year every one should be thinking of some kind of safe dwelling at least.

Live in your Fancy Homes if you must , but think about having a Safe Dome Shelter.

Why build DOME ?

LOOK AT ALL THE TORNADO'S ACROSS AMERICA,

I bet they wish they had a Dome Home or Shelter.

Tornados are on the increase and we need to have a safe Dwelling, or at least have a Dome Shelter should a Tornado hit your City, as we have just seen in Japan , and the Floods in Northern Queensland Australia, the fires in Victoria Australia, and most recently the Tornado's in America.

I spoke to a Government employee in charge of the Government Housing Department Building Authority in Western Australia, she has the say on what type of homes the Government will allow to be built, talking to her about Dome Homes two years ago, her reply was, they wouldn't fit into the street, well my answer to her they would be the only Homes standing, if they were in Citys in America where the Tornado's have totally destroyed them, Japan;s latest Earthquake and Tsunami, many people might have survived had they had Dome shelters for people to take refuge. 

We also spoke about Housing for Aboriginal's I bought up the subject thinking of there welfare and safety, a practical safe homes for them, her reply was negative, and saying i can not suggest such a thing, i believe she was thinking Dome was Inferior to Square boxes of Tin they provide in the Heat of our Northern Hemisphere for Native Australian Aboriginals .

Who rely cares what a Shelter or dwelling looks like, if it is going to protect our Family and Children, should our Children have a say in where they live, and do they rely care what a Home looks like, i believe they would chose a Dome Home over a Square good looking heap of Crap, if they understood the Dome was safer.

We have to now look at what is practical and not what looks good.

WHY !!!  why do we all have to up and run every time there is a Cyclone, ? good question

The reason it is too Dangerous for them to stay in there Homes. YES !!! that is true.

Then why do we build homes that are not safe in Cyclone areas ?

I have approached Government Departments with this Question, with the alternative to building homes that are not safe in such situations.

We should be building DOME HOMES from Concrete, Tornado proof and Cyclone proof

On asking her this Question,  her answer was, but Dome homes wont look good in a street,

Well is this not a Dumb Answer when Cyclones go through a Town or City and destroy every home in the street. the only homes that would stand up to a Cyclone is a Dome Home built from Concrete.

What if we built Dome buildings as Shelters scattered throughout the Community for such times as we are seeing now in Cairnes, North Queensland, Australia.
